Quiver Tree; Aloe dichotoma
The Quiver tree is a medium sized tree, it has mainly only one trunk and carries a large canopy. Each canopy consists of thick branches, which each contains rosettes of short, fat lance-shaped leaves that is a pale green colour. Its flowers are bright yellow and is borne in short tight clusters from early to late winter. The bark is white to yellowish, and is split longitudinal to form sharp edges.
Elephats trunk; Pachypodium namaquanum
The Elephant trunk is either a succulent plant or small tree (about 1.5 to 2.5 metres in height), and occurs in stony hillsides and among boulders of rocky deserts. Its stem is mainly unbranched and cylindrical, but is occasionally branched at the base or at the apex that form a few short branches. They have velvety obovate-oblong leaves that is a grey-green colour and is crowded near the apex of the stem. The flowers is tubular (about 5 centimetres long), that is red in colour and is borne between July and September. Its fruit is round, covered in soft hairs and is pale brown in colour.
Bluebush Star-apple; Diospyros lyciodes
The Bluebush Star-apple is a shrub or small tree (about 2-3 metres in height), and have smooth dark grey bark. Its leaves is leathery with silky hairs and is a dull green colour, which is spirally arranged the tips of its branches. The flowers is sweetly scented and is a creamy white colour (about 0.8 to 1.5 centimetres is diameter. Its fruit is sharp-tipped and covered in shot soft hairs, which a red colour.
