Partridges-breasted; Aloe variegate
The Partridges-breasted or “Kanniedood”, mainly grow singly or in small groups, beneath little karroid shrublets in order to escape the harsh sun rays. Its leaves is triangular in cross-section and is a dark green to dirty brown in colour. The stout inflorescence contains several loosely arranged flowers that is curved tubular, which is a red colour, and is borne in late winter to spring. Its fruits is relatively big in comparison with the size of the plant and is dispersed by the wind.
Coral Crassula; Crassula coralline
The Coral Crassula is mat form and is about finger height, which grows a series of tightly packed stems that is covered with chunky close-packed leaves. Its leaves is blunt and is covered with a grey wax layer. The plant have small white flowers that ae produced singly from the stem and is borne during late summer. The plant is well camouflaged in their natural habitat, and prefer shallow, overlying rocks or limestone area with full exposer to the sun.
Vygiebossie; Portulaca kermesina
The Vyggiebossie has several erect stems than is mid-shin in height, which each contain a blue to green leaves that are arranged opposite each other. The nodes have long hair-like leaf bracts. Flowers (1 to 6) are produced in clusters at the shoot tips and is borne during summer. The plants prefer hot dry sandy habitats.
